Happy 2012! Time to go Paleo!
You can feel amazing in your own skin and it's easier than you think. The days of eating low-fat foods and doing tons of cardio are officially over.
There's a better way to get lean.
A Paleo diet combined with intelligent exercise and sufficient rest can transform your life. You don't have to work harder to get lean, you just have to do what works. And this works!
Paleo is short for Paleolithic. The Paleo diet is the most comfortable, efficient diet ever and is based entirely on the natural foods we evolved to eat. No matter what your history is with food and diets (I'm a former vegetarian), this is the diet you've been looking for. Once you get accustomed to it, you can stick with it long-term.
Almost immediately your body will begin to lean out and your energy will increase.
The Paleo diet is not low-fat and you won't have to do any calculations. You won't have to mix any powders or buy packaged foods. The Paleo diet focuses on eating real food. You'll be eating the way our ancestors ate, and your body will love you for it.
A Paleo diet includes meat, fish, eggs, vegetables, fruits, nuts, spices and healthy fats such as animal fats, marine fats, nut butters, avocado, coconut oil, macadamia nut oil, olive oil and walnut oil (the last two are good for salads).
The Paleo diet emphasizes quality over quantity. Instead of eating "less," think of eating "better."
Hours of cardio will not get you lean. Hot bodies are created by building strength. That doesn't mean you need to get big and puffy with bulging muscles. Building strength can make you lean and compact. You'll look good in clothes...and out of them too!
There are 3 types of exercise you should focus on: playtime, high-intensity interval training, and strength training. Move your whole body. It feels good.
Rest and sleep are underrated in the quest for a lean, hot body. Studies show people who get more sleep have less body fat thanks to a balanced endocrine system. Your hormones run the show and sleep keeps hormones balanced.
One 20-minute nap every day will give you an extra dose of REM sleep and help you to be more productive and cheerful. Set a kitchen timer for 20 minutes, lay down and that's it!
