Former Vegetarian Goes Paleo, Gets Lean

Hi, my name is Jenna Shannon and I'm the creator of LeanMachineNYC.

Over the years I've tried a lot of different eating styles with the hope of finding the most efficient way to look and feel my best. I was a vegetarian for ten years. That worked pretty well for awhile, until I started to question whether or not my diet was even healthy. All that soy and brown rice! Plus, I had gained a few pounds and that was not cool.

Then I tried the Zone, raw foods and slow carb. They all had their positives, but I felt like something was missing. I wanted to get leaner. I wanted to look and feel younger. I wanted to eat delicious food and not worry about calories! Was that asking too much?

When I discovered Paleo I realized I'd finally found what I was looking for: a diet from a time BEFORE there were diets!

Eating Paleo has made me leaner, stronger and more energetic. My focus has improved and I'm not hungry all the time.

I was looking for results and I got them.

Now my goal is to help you feel amazing in your own skin

You don't have to suffer through low-fat, low-calorie programs that make you tired, cranky and hungry. The best way to get lean is by eating a Paleo diet combined with playtime, a little resistance training and plenty of rest. Getting lean and healthy is a positive experience.

You can feel like a million bucks walking down the street just by making a few changes to your diet and lifestyle. By eating a diet based on Paleolithic foods (the diet we evolved to eat), you can whittle yourself into a lean machine. Really!
